Welcome Competitive Teams - Season 34 Has Started!!!
This is information for the 2023-24 Performing Company and Dance Team compiled in one place for your convenience. Please share feedback on what you would like to see here. We will mainly be post reminders/email duplicates and competition information and links.
The start of a new season is always exciting and busy. Here are a few quick things to help kickoff the year smoothly:
Dancers should arrive dressed in the appropriate dance attire and shoes with their hair done and a water bottle. Please keep track of your water bottle!
The parking lot is going to be extremely busy. Please make your drop offs and pick ups as quick as possible.
To avoid congestion, we will be using multiple entrances:
Dancers taking class in studios A & D will enter and exit directly from the studio.
Dancers in classes in studios B & C will use the front entrance for entering and exiting.
The lobby and hallways remain closed with the exception of people needing to use the bathrooms.
NEW!!! Cell Phone Policy: All cellphones should be OFF and AWAY whilst in the studio. The only exceptions are for approved reasons and must have a note with the office.
Dance Class Etiquette
Respect - Greet your teacher at the start of class and thank them upon leaving. Listen while the dance teacher is talking and communicate any exceptions to your normal schedule discreetly and in advance.
Focus - stow away the cell phone. Turn off—don’t just silence—your cell phone. Prepare to stay for the duration of class and don't distract others.
Poise - don't slouch, look bored or sit down unless you’re asked to.
Punctuality - arrive on time and stay for the entire class.
Position - let advanced students stand in front. Demonstrate good spatial awareness.
Sportsmanship - always be courteous and supportive of others and try to do your best. Don't bring others down and try to stay upbeat and inspire your team members. TPWK! Treat People With Kindness.
Commitment - as a team it is your responsibility to show up to all classes. In the event of illness or an unavoidable absence, please notify the studio as soon as possible.
